This is where Anne Frank and her family and friends hid from the Nazis until their hiding place was revealed by someone!! They of course ended up in concentration camps.

One of the canals in Amsterdam

We were able to take a couple of rides in a boat on the canals in Amsterdam...Some of the people even live in houseboats on the canals. I don't know what they do now when the canals have frozen over!!

Mark's apartment is just around the corner from Vondel Park....A lovely place to take a walk or to sit at an outside cafe, drink coffee and just enjoy the ambience.

We will start our Blog with our vacation in September 2008 visiting Mark in Amsterdam. He then took us to Paris for a long weekend....!! What a wonderful
experience!!!
